Pavo Cup twenty-eighteen
We’re back with another Pavo Cup recap! It’s hard to believe it’s been six years since we first started our annual Thanksgiving Day tournament. As families gather on the sidelines each year, kids run around juggling, passing, and practicing their soccer skills. An idea came to mind- why don’t we have a kid’s game as part of the tournmament? So that’s just what we did. Pavo Cup 2018 was the first year we hosted a Pavito Cup for kids ages 5-11. In between the championship game, our Pure kids were split into two teams to compete against each other in a 6v6 tournament. We’re not going to lie- it was THE BEST!
Before heading off to spend the afternoon and evening with family and friends, the Pure Team gathers together for the yearly Pavo Cup festivities: good food, good people, and a good, competitive game. Since the start of the tournament six years ago, Inman Park has remained the undefeated winner, however, this year Team Sedgwick Restaurant Group made history. With just one minute to spare, William Bloor saved a potential game-winning shot from Inman Park, sending the two teams into penalty kicks. For the first year ever, we have a new winner of Pavo Cup: SRG!
Couldn’t make it this year? We’ve got you covered with a recap below!
